If you say that this guy is your friend then don’t beat around the bush, get straight to the point and let him know how you feel otherwise it’s time to make new friends.
had the same experience. at first when it happened, i felt the need to just hear the person out.
but then i decided that i was just being unfair to myself. so i just told her that hey, it’s good that u are doing something for yourself and i wish u all the best. but as for me, i don’t want anything to do with it (or anything like it) now or in the future.
i wanna be your friend, but u gotta stop bugging me, or else i’ll just tune you out.
i think they will get the message.
yes, you are right to be angry. he sounds like a real life spammer. Make it clear these type of businesses do not interest you and tell him to buzz off.

why do you call them a friend then?
You have the wrong attitude towards your friend.
if you say you are a friend to this person, you should be there for them.
